🎶 Soul Folk 🎶

Multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Lola Parks creates Soul Folk—Americana-rooted music that blends soulful vocals, roots rock, folk storytelling, and subtle reggae and Latin influences. Her songs explore healing, hope, resilience, connection, belonging, nature, movement, and empowerment, inviting listeners into stories that resonate long after the final note.

With a voice as seductive as it is soulful, Parks delivers emotionally rich performances that are both intimate and powerful. Drawing on jazz roots and contemporary Americana, her pitch-perfect vocals float over organic acoustic arrangements, blending modern melodies with unapologetically honest lyrics. Every song balances vulnerability with quiet strength, creating a warm, cinematic listening experience.

ALA Sara Bareilles, Brandi Carlile, Bonnie Raitt, Norah Jones, Alicia Keys.

It\'ll Be All Right (full band version)

It'll Be All Right (full band version)

Dear friends,

Next Friday, September 4, I'll be releasing a new full-band version of "It'll Be All Right."

The song was inspired by the life and struggles of Billie Holiday—a remarkable artist who endured racism, sexism, addiction, poverty, and heartbreak, yet left the world with extraordinary beauty through her music. As I began writing, the song grew beyond her story and became something more universal: a reflection on loss, resilience, compassion, and hope.

It's for anyone who's loved deeply, lost someone too soon, or faced life's storms and kept going anyway.

In a time when so many families have been touched by addiction, mental health struggles, and grief, I wanted to create something that acknowledges the pain while still reaching toward the light.

Three years after its original release, I felt called to revisit the song. With Steve Dawson's beautiful production, soaring pedal steel, and a full band behind it, the song found a new life and a bigger emotional landscape.

One lyric keeps coming back to me:

"We thought we'd live forever..."

And yet, somehow, that's not where the song ends.

It ends with hope.

"It'll be all right. It'll be okay. Gonna hold on tight anyway."

Thank you for listening, for supporting independent music, and for being part of this journey.

💛 "It'll Be All Right (full band version)" arrives September 4.

With love,

Lola - Aug 28th, 2026
